Tye's Birthday

For Tye's second birthday we went to the Houston Zoo.  We had a great time seeing all the animals and getting to see all the people that we rarely get to see anymore.
A few of the people that we were with went to go feed the giraffes, while they did that Korbyn and I spotted the carousel and just had to ride it.  She liked it at first, but by the end of the ride she was clinging to my neck asking to "stop and get off!"  I don't think she'll ever like rides or anything similar.  She does the exact same thing when she swings too, she hates it.  She obviously didn't inherit that from Colton or myself, we both love roller coasters and anything that moves!

We wanted to get a group picture of the kids before we left, but they were all pretty antsy because it was lunch time.  Poor Tye, he's all boy and has absolutely no interest in taking a picture haha!
Korbyn stood there very still but wouldn't smile, then she started flashing everyone so we decided to call it quits.

I still haven't been able to thank Yvonne for putting suckers and lip gloss in Korbyn's goody bag...thanks.

School Pics

I chose Laugh Out Loud Photography to come to the day school to do school pictures.  They're a little different in that they have a couple "styles" to choose from.  I chose Old Hollywood.  I figured they're in daycare, not school.  I would rather pay money for something fun rather than "school pictures."  They brought all the props, the outfits, and hair pieces.  I had to be the photographers helper, so I had to dress all the kids and fix their hair.  I used up about a can of lysol spraying everything down in between uses...that part was kind of gross to me.
It took us TWO days to photograph all the kids.  The other reason I chose them is because they were running a special for Christmas.  All children were photographed and as long as the parents sat down for two minutes to look at their child's proofs, they received a free 8x10, two 5x7, and eight wallets...just for looking!  And since I was the director I got $200 worth of free pictures!
Another reason I went with them was that they promised to have all the pictures processed and delivered by Christmas.  Well wouldn't you know we didn't receive them until the first week in January.  I was so upset, and so were some parents, because I had planned on using some for Christmas gifts.  Oh well, I think they did a great job!
I of course scratched Korbyn's forehead when I was getting her dressed.  And on her fair skin you can see the red mark in almost every picture.  I had to step out while they were taking hers because she started whining for me.  As soon as I walked out she was fine!
