Big Sis!

Well the news is out, we're going to be adding another little baby to our family!

I'm officially 11 weeks today with a due date of October 31st.  I'm praying that it won't be born on Korbyn's birthday.  We've already decided that we will just be throwing one huge birthday bash every year for both kids.

I'm so excited for this baby to be here already.  We decided that we don't want to know what the sex is.  I know it sounds very cliche, but ALL I care about is that it's healthy and happy, I could care less whether it has a penis or a vagina ;)  I think it makes it more exciting too.  I've also been thinking that I don't want to tell anybody names either, but we'll see how long that lasts.

So far Korbyn has been very excited that she's going to be a big sister.  We told her a couple weeks before we told anyone else, but the little tattletale let the cat out of the bag a few days early to memaw Loranne.  Loranne picks her up every Tuesday and Thursday and spends about an hour with her and then brings her back to the daycare so we can go home.  One day she brings her back and says "so I hear someone is going to be a big sister?!"  I was shocked because I couldn't believe that Korbyn could tell anyone.  Loranne said that she was asking Korbyn about her big girl bed and then out of the blue she said "I'm gonna be a big sister!"  That little rascal.

I'm sure she's going to go through a jealousy phase, and I won't hold it against her if she does.  I've been trying to prepare her the best I can.  I'll tell her that when the baby gets here it's going to cry a lot and mommy is going to have to spend a lot of time with the baby.  I keep asking her if she's going to be my big helper and she says "yes!"  I went through all my old pregnancy books and showed her pictures of as much as I could like bottles, pacifiers, pregnant bellies etc.  Every time she sees a baby now she crouches down and says "ohhhh, ihs so coot!"

When I was pregnant with Korbyn I felt wonderful.  I never even got the tiniest bit sick, I had that "glow," I never broke out, and I never got a single headache.  With this one, I was nauseous from the very beginning until about 8 weeks.  I would be extremely nauseous from the moment I woke up until I fell asleep, it was awful and nothing seemed to help.  I get a headache almost every other day and there is no "glow!"  I just feel bleh with this one.  A lot of people have told me because it's so different that means it's going to be a boy, but I don't think how you feel during the pregnancy means anything.  I've talked to some people who have had multiple pregnancies with the same sex, and they went through the same thing, so I'm not leaning towards boy or girl.  Like I said, I really have no interest whatsoever in knowing the sex of this baby.

Easter

Korbyn totally knew what to do this year for Easter!  The first picture is of her first egg hunt for this year at school on the playground, she was SO excited.
Saturday we went to memaw Loranne's and papaw Doug's.  The top picture is all the grand babies of this generation, and the bottom picture is all of their dads from the previous generation (we're missing one).  We have eight little girls!  I just think it's hilarious that there are no boys this time around and last time all there was was boys (and one girl cousin).

Korbyn was practicing her croquet and washer tossing.

Memaw Loranne ordered a bunny costume and had one of her friends dress up in it and hide the eggs.  It was so fun watching the girls look out the window watching the Easter bunny actually hide the eggs.
Then the bunny was out and about while the girls hunted eggs.  But Korbyn kept a steady eye on that thing, anytime it even looked in her direction she got scared and would run to my leg.  So, no pictures with the Easter bunny this year.

And of course I try to get one good Easter picture of her, but miss photogenic just wasn't having it.
We were there almost all day and had no nap, so once everyone started headed home she found a comfy spot on the recliner and crashed.

Ranger

Colton's dad is currently living in Pennsylvania because of work.  He told us a couple months ago that we're more than welcome to take his Polaris Ranger to our house and use it while he's gone.  We were thrilled because we've been wanting to get one of our own for a very long time.
A few Sundays ago, we loaded it up and took it out to Fedor to ride around.  Riding the Ranger is one of Korbyn's favorite things.  She likes to sit in the back all by herself buckled up and she yells "faster!" the whole time.

School

I know I've said it before, but I'm very fortunate to work at the school where my daughter goes.  In fact, I get to stare at her classroom door and hear her all day because it's only about 30 feet from my office.

Korbyn even gets to be in the same classroom as her cousin, Kyndal.  They play so good together.

And thankfully, Korbyn LOVES going to school.  If I'm off or it's the weekend she will ask me if we can go to school.  When we drive past it in town she kicks her feet, points and yells "that's my school!  I wanna see my friends!"

Visit

A few weekends ago we went down to Katy to visit Colton's brother and his family for Addy's birthday.  Korbyn gets really excited when I tell her we're going to see Avery and Addy.  This was the first time that she got to meet baby Alysse and she was so sweet with her.  As soon as she saw that memaw was holding her she had to go let memaw know that she was still there and climb up on her lap too.
The girls all got to get some good play time in together and I got to catch up with Jana, which unfortunately doesn't come often enough.
Now anytime Korbyn sees a baby or a picture of a baby she calls it "baby lysse," SO cute!
