11 months

When did this happen?!  When did I become the mother of an 11 month old?

Sam and I are helping out in the church office at Martin Luther today so I have some time to make a quick post.  I wanted to post a video of her finally walking behind a push toy but I don't have my phone cord with me to download it, so when I get home today that's the first thing I'll do!

Not too much has been going on in our little family, work work work...that's about it!  Colton started his new job on Monday.  It's kind of weird for me to see it as a "new" job because it's right next to his old one and he's pretty much working with the same people, just for a different company.  He's still in the oil field but now he's working on the chemical side of it and not having to run a truck.  When he started working for Texas Hot Oilers chemical was where he was working and then got moved to a hot oil truck later, so now he's back in chemical but with a company that's contracted with THO.  He absolutely loves it.  The money was better when he was in a truck because of the over time but just in the past three days I can tell a difference in him.  He always loved working on the chemical side and he's really good at it so therefore he's SO much happier.  I had a meeting the other night and when I came home the dishes were done, the laundry was getting washed, the house was picked up and I was blown away!  He used to come home and sit on the couch and not move until he went to bed, which was irritating as all get out but I knew he was physically working his butt off each day so I never said much.  I thanked him for doing all of that and he said I finally feel good when I come home to do it.  So we'll see how it goes, but so far it's looking pretty good and I'm so happy he's doing something that he loves.

Korbyn is doing awesome as always.  Growing up way too fast though.  She will move into the 12-18 month room in November and I'm SO nervous!  Just because that room is always the hardest transition for all the kids.  They start out in their infant room and get used to the same teacher, kids, toys, and schedule for an entire year and then all of a sudden they're stuck in another room where everything is new and they're trying to walk, get weened off the bottle, and now they're expected to sleep on a mat on the floor and not their crib...ahhhh!  I always felt so sorry for kids when they were going to be moved up into that room because they all have a hard time and now I'M having to go through it!  Of course it's only hard for about the first week (although some kids it takes longer) and I have high hopes for Korbyn, I know she'll adjust well.  So starting today we're going to try to start getting her off the bottle.  I just want that to be one less thing she has to go through at that time.  I talked to her teachers this morning (since I won't be in there today) and they said they would definitely try it.  And of course I keep staring at the clock wanting to call down there (thankfully I can call straight to the infant room from here) to see how she did because they usually get their bottles about now!
